Celebrating Another Layer of Integration

Celebrating Another Layer of Integration

The recovery spectrum for DID was cloaked in ignorance when I was diagnosed in 1995.

Today, the knowledge and awareness of dissociative functioning has gained more insight, knowledge, and general awareness… for which I am extremely grateful!!

I am celebrating another wave of integration today, so it is my great delight to share this example of mind-mapping with you.

In 1995, I was filled with shame and overwhelming sorrow when I learned that my mind was clouded by dissociative functioning.

Today, I am CELEBRATING the fact that the storm clouds of utter darkness have lost their grip on my thinking lines, and I am now able to share the stories of HOW Jesus walked me out of that darkness, and INTO the glorious light of knowledge and understanding about why I was dissociating in the first place.

If you are navigating your own DID recovery journey, I celebrate your presence and courage!! Taking the reins of dissociated thinking is a severe challenge, so I applaud your willingness to engage in the task to do so.

We are all on a mental health recovery journey, so I am grateful that you have chosen to join us for the cACEs recovery conversation again today.

Until next time,

Shalom! and God bless you,

From the scrolls of my internal war room at Connie’s House.
